Wednesday Pick Me Up

A beautiful picture and a beautiful poem to uplift us on a dreary day. I may not be able to write good poetry, but I know it when I see it.

Lord, the air smells good...
by Rumi

Lord, the air smells good today,
straight from the mysteries
within the inner courts of God.
A grace like new clothes thrown
across the garden, free medicine for everybody.
The trees in their prayer, the birds in praise,
the first blue violets kneeling.
Whatever came from Being is caught up in being, drunkenly
forgetting the way back.

I can smell the air myself.

That picture is awesome. At first glance, to me it looks like hundreds of tiny flying saucers descending from the sky. I guess they are just leaves, though :(

That really was beautiful. Thank you...I needed that. =0)

Beautiful fall foliage, but snow-flocked trees will be breathtaking soon!

Took me a while to wrap my head around that picture. Not sure I've ever seen a clearer mirror in my life.

Great poem and pic, thanks for the sun on a day full of grey and drizzle. Taking charge. Making chocolate cake.

Good luck with exams.

paca---Thank. you. The pic was messing with my head. It's an excellent image, but I felt momentarily like I was looking at an optical illusion!

Ello,
My friend, how could I resist the flying pig? You've been tagged! Post five random facts about yourself, then tag five other people, haha!
